Daily Blog | Day 8: Carnival vibes, music, and memories 🍩🎤🎡
We kicked off the day with everyone’s favorite Sunday tradition, Lazy Bone Morning! The kiddos got to sleep in a bit and were greeted with a sweet surprise: Dunkin’ Donuts for breakfast! It was the perfect slow start before the fun ramped up in the afternoon.
Because this wasn’t just any day… It was Carnival Day 🎉 Our sister camp, Kents Hill, joined us on campus for one of the most anticipated days of the summer. We turned the soccer field into a mini fairground, complete with inflatables, a water slide, a mechanical bull, cotton candy, snow cones, and games. But the real highlight? Our live band karaoke! Campers signed up to sing their favorite songs, counselors gave it their all, and yes, even Koop grabbed the mic to join the fun!
There’s something magical about seeing campers from both camps reconnect, especially siblings and old friends. The sun was shining, the burgers were sizzling, and the energy was through the roof.
It was one of those days that felt like summer in every way. Laughter, music, sunshine, and memories we won’t forget anytime soon 🍔
