Daily Blog: Day 18 – Cheers, Challenges, and a Banquet to Remember.
Color War Day 2 kicked off with high energy and even higher stakes. The Rookies started the day with their big hockey game, and the crowd made sure they felt like stars. Then it was time for the Pros and Seniors to take over the rink, giving everything they had on the ice. Whether they were scoring goals or cheering from the sidelines, every camper was part of the action.
After lunch, it was time for one of Koop’s all-time favorite events: the Cook Off Challenge. Campers were given a table of mystery ingredients and a mission: to create the most delicious (or unusual) dish possible. Let’s just say there were some questionable flavor combos like pickles and cheese puffs, but Koop took his judging duties seriously. He tasted everything and walked away with a full stomach and a few new “favorites.”
As the sun began to set, we traded in our sports gear for something a little more formal and gathered for a special evening, our Final Banquet. The kiddos looked sharp and sat with their friends one last time to enjoy a night of celebration. There were surprises like a BSC merch raffle, a memory-filled slideshow that brought laughter (and a few tears), and a meal to mark the amazing summer we’ve shared. It was a moment to reflect, to cheer, and to simply be together.
