And just like that, the summer is over.
It’s hard to believe how quickly the last few days went by. It feels like we were just welcoming campers, meeting new faces, seeing our returners, and getting everyone settled into their summer routine. Then, in what felt like the blink of an eye, we were packing bags, finishing BSL, taking final photos, sharing hugs, and saying our goodbyes.
The last day at BSC is always a busy one. Between packing up, finishing the last Color War events, getting ready for the Final Banquet, taking those last group photos, and finding time for one more conversation with a friend or counselor, a lot is happening in one night. But somewhere in between all of that, you realize that the summer you’ve been waiting for all year is already coming to an end.
This summer brought three weeks of Session 1 and three weeks of Session 2 for our campers, while our counselors spent seven weeks making camp happen from start to finish. They took on one of the most challenging jobs they’ll have, and they did it with patience, energy, and plenty of fun. We know the experience they gained here will stay with them as they continue growing as coaches, leaders, and people.
To our parents, thank you for trusting us with your kids and allowing them to experience summer at BSC. To our counselors, coaches, admins, and everyone who worked behind the scenes, thank you for making these weeks possible. And to Koop and the entire BSC team, thank you for another summer filled with sports, traditions, competition, friendships, and all the little moments that make camp what it is.
From my side of the blog, social media, and the photos, this 4th year has been one of the best summers I could ask for. I get to spend my days watching campers play the sports they love, try something new, cheer for their friends, laugh at lineup, and jump into the lake. I get to capture those moments so that, years from now, we can look back and remember exactly what this summer felt like.
One of my favorite things about BSC is that sports are at the heart of everything we do, but they aren’t the only thing that makes camp special. There is something pretty great about giving campers a place to put the screens away for a while, spend time outside, try something new, and enjoy being kids. That’s a tradition worth keeping.
So, from behind the camera, thank you for letting me be part of it. I hope these photos and stories give you a little piece of what we get to see every day at camp. I’ll remember the faces behind every photo, the laughs behind every video, and all the little moments in between. Some summers end, but the memories don’t.
Thank you for an incredible summer at Bridgton Sports Camp. See you next summer!
Brenda 📸💙

For three days, camp looked a little different.

Color War is one of those BSC traditions that completely changes the energy. The campers are split into two teams, and suddenly every game, challenge, and activity becomes a chance to earn points for their team. You can feel the excitement everywhere, especially when they start showing up in their team bandanas and cheering for their friends.

We had a little bit of everything during the three days. There were hockey games, soccer, basketball, kickball, and flag football, along with some of the more creative Color War activities. The Cook-Off had campers turning cupcakes into everything from superheroes to completely random creations, while the Waterfront Relay brought everyone down for swimming, Gaga, and a super funny kayak race.

Of course, hockey was a big one. With so many hockey players at BSC, the rink was packed with campers cheering from the stands and supporting their teammates. But one of my favorite parts was watching campers compete in sports they don’t normally play. You could see kids who usually spend their time on the ice suddenly playing kickball or flag football and giving it everything they had for their team.

The final event brought everyone together for our final Whacked Up Relay. There were different stations all around, with campers running, competing, laughing, and cheering each other. At the end, our MVP Dom, who has already won the pie-eating competition four times, had a seriously close battle with Will this year. It was one of those moments where everyone was watching and yelling from the sidelines, waiting to see who would finish first.

When all the points were finally added up, the Hurricanes came out on top. But honestly, the best part of Color War isn’t just finding out who wins. It’s seeing the bandanas, the cheering, the kids trying something completely outside their usual sport. That’s what camp felt like. Loud, competitive, a little chaotic, and a whole lot of fun.

That’s exactly what BSC Color War is supposed to be 🏀🏒🏆

The weekend was the perfect mix of competition, adventure, and classic camp traditions as we head into the final week of Session 2.

Campers made the most of another beautiful weekend in Maine with tubing, fishing, and time at the waterfront, while others relaxed at the Den and enjoyed time with friends between activities. We also said goodbye to Shaun Green, who spent the week back at BSC after returning from coaching NCAA Division I soccer. It was great having him back with our campers, and we loved seeing him on the soccer field again.

Competition stayed strong with exciting intercamp games in both flag football and basketball, followed by another great baseball matchup that ended with a BSC win.

Today brought one of everyone’s favorite traditions, Lazy Bones Sunday. Campers enjoyed a slower morning before heading out for the afternoon. Our Rookies and Pros hiked Hawk Mountain, taking in some incredible Maine views, while the rest of camp enjoyed another beautiful summer day together.

It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the final week of the summer. Time really does fly at camp, but there’s still plenty of fun ahead, and we’re excited to make the most of every moment left together 💙

Our hockey campers had the opportunity to learn from Swaggy P, who returned to camp for another special on-ice session. Players worked on stickhandling, creativity, and game skills while learning from one of hockey’s most entertaining personalities.

Around camp, campers also tried activities like archery, while our Seniors headed out for one of the highlights of the summer, their whitewater rafting trip. It’s an unforgettable tradition that combines teamwork, adventure, and plenty of laughs.

The next day brought another favorite camp tradition: an off-campus adventure. Campers spent the day bouncing at the trampoline park, while the Pros enjoyed a trip to the mall and bowling. Our Rookies had their own fun with a movie and an ice cream stop before everyone returned to camp with plenty of stories to share.

Whether on campus or off, every day brings a new adventure at Bridgton Sports Camp.

Another great day at BSC was filled with sports, competition, and plenty of time enjoying the best of summer in Maine.

The morning kicked off with Majors, where campers continued building their skills and preparing for more intercamp competition. Our flag football campers hit the field with Koop for a fun and energetic practice, while hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse kept working hard with their coaches. With each practice, campers continue gaining confidence, improving their technique, and supporting one another every step of the way.

Later in the day, the waterfront was full of activity. Campers spent the afternoon fishing, tubing, and enjoying Long Lake, making the most of another beautiful Maine day. Whether it was catching a fish, laughing on the tube, or simply cooling off by the water, it was the perfect way to recharge before the evening.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was our intercamp soccer game against Camp Micah. It turned into an exciting match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. After battling through overtime, the game was decided in a penalty shootout, where BSC came away with an unforgettable win. It was a great example of teamwork, determination, and the competitive spirit our campers bring to every game.

To wrap up the evening, our Seniors headed out for a movie night, a chance to relax, spend time together, and enjoy a well-earned break after another action-packed day at camp.

Days like these are a great reminder of what makes BSC special: a little competition, a little adventure, and plenty of moments that campers will remember long after the summer ends 🌲☀️

It’s hard to believe we’re already one week into Session 2! Camp has found its rhythm, and it’s been great to watch campers grow more confident, make new friendships, and truly settle into life at BSC.

The day followed our full camp schedule, with campers heading to their Majors and continuing to build their skills. Across every field, court, and rink, coaches challenged campers to keep improving while making the most of every practice. This week, our soccer program welcomed back Shaun Green, a familiar face at BSC and our former Soccer Director. After spending the past few years coaching at the NCAA Division I level, Sean returned to camp to share his experience and help our soccer campers continue developing their game. It’s great to have him back with the BSC family.

Later in the day, I stopped by the golf course, one of our Minor activities, to check out everyone’s swing. It’s always fun to see campers trying something different, improving their skills, and enjoying a sport outside of their Major. Sometimes the best camp days aren’t the ones filled with big events, they’re the ones where campers keep growing, gaining confidence, and enjoying the everyday moments with their teammates and friends.

With one great week behind us, we’re excited to see what the rest of the session has for us 👀🌲☀️

It was another great summer day at BSC, filled with sports, teamwork, and a well-earned sweet treat.

The morning followed our usual camp routine as campers headed to their Majors, continuing to improve their skills and prepare for the next round of competition. Across the fields, courts, and rink, coaches kept the energy high while campers challenged themselves and supported one another.

One of the highlights of the day was our intercamp soccer game right here at camp. Campers played with great teamwork and determination, earning an exciting win in front of their friends. With the summer heat sticking around, the ice cream truck made the perfect afternoon stop. Campers enjoyed cooling off with their favorite treats after a busy day of sports, and it quickly became everyone’s favorite part of the afternoon.

At Lineup, we celebrated the day’s highlights together, but there’s always room for a little fun. Along with sharing announcements, campers have the chance to tell their best jokes. If the joke gets laughs, they’re safe, but if it doesn’t, they earn a bucket of cold water! It’s one of those classic camp traditions that keeps everyone smiling! Another day full of competition, laughs, and the little traditions that make Bridgton Sports Camp feel like home.

The days are flying by, and camp is settling into a great rhythm. As the session continues, campers are becoming more confident, more comfortable, and fully immersed in life at BSC.

The morning was spent at Majors, where each sport continued building on the week’s progress. Hockey players worked on skating, puck movement, and game situations, lacrosse focused on stick skills and fast-paced drills, soccer campers sharpened their passing and finishing, baseball players continued refining their hitting and defensive fundamentals, and basketball players worked on shooting, teamwork, and game play.

Later in the day, the waterfront was the place to be, with campers enjoying wake surfing and cooling off on Long Lake. The weather has been perfect for a classic Maine summer, making every trip to the waterfront even more enjoyable. During Rest Hour, our soccer team took on Indian Acres in an exciting intercamp game and came away with a great win!

The biggest excitement of the day came in the evening. While some of our basketball players traveled to Camp Micah for the highly anticipated 15U basketball game, the rest of camp enjoyed free play and a friendly game of knockout back at BSC. Everyone was eagerly waiting for updates, and the celebration began as soon as the team returned with the trophy after an incredible victory.

A huge win, a lot of team spirit, and another unforgettable day at camp.

Later in the day, campers headed to the waterfront for Minors and afternoon activities. From kayaking, tubing, and the Long Lake Games to fishing, there was no shortage of ways to enjoy the lake. Over at the tennis courts, many campers have also been picking up pickleball, which has quickly become a favorite activity this summer.

The highlight of the day was our first Campfire of the session, one of BSC’s favorite traditions. Campers gathered together to hear returning campers share stories about their first summer at camp, how they overcame homesickness, and the friendships that kept them coming back year after year. Their advice and encouragement reminded everyone that they’re part of something special.

Of course, no campfire would be complete without s’mores. It was the perfect way to end another great day, surrounded by friends, laughter, and a tradition that makes summer camp feel like home!

The first full day of camp brought plenty of energy as campers settled into the BSC routine.

The morning was all about Majors, with hockey players excited to get on the ice. At the same time, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and baseball campers spent time building skills, learning from their coaches, and enjoying their first full practices of the session. After lunch, campers headed to Minors, a space where they can explore a different sport or activity. Whether it was tennis, baseball, basketball, or something completely new.

Later in the day, everyone gathered for our first official Lineup, one of BSC’s daily traditions. Campers and staff came together to celebrate achievements, recognize great moments from the day, and hear what each division had been up to. The day wrapped up with Choose-Up, giving campers the freedom to spend time at the waterfront, play games with friends, or simply enjoy a little downtime after a busy day of sports.

From the fields and courts to the lake, it was a great day to kick off the full camp schedule, but there’s plenty more fun to come!
